Stephen is married, has two children, and enjoys playing tennis, golf, camping, and hiking. He is involved with Greensboro Urban Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, Hamilton Lakes Swim Team, Greensboro Youth Soccer Association, North Carolina Tennis Association, and Pathways of Greensboro. He is also the varsity men's tennis coach for Grimsley High School
