LOW TESTOSTERONE HEART ATTACKS

Low testosterone, often referred to as “Low T”, is a medical condition that can affect men’s sex drive, mood, energy levels, muscle mass, and bone strength. And while patches, injections, gels, and pills are marketed to men as methods to increase testosterone levels, testosterone therapy products have been linked to an increased risk of cardiovascular illness in male patients.

If you or a loved one suffered a heart attack, stroke, pulmonary embolism, deep venous thrombosis (DVT), or died after using a low testosterone therapy product, Crumley Roberts can protect your legal rights. Our drug injury lawyers can help you get the money you need for your medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering. Contact us today—just fill out our free initial consultation form or dial .

Low Testosterone Treatment Side Effects

Research published by The Journal of the American Medical Association reports a 30 percent increase in the risk of heart attack, stroke, pulmonary embolism, and death in men who take testosterone therapy drugs or products.

Another study of more than 55,000 male patients reveals that men over age 65 are twice as likely to have a heart attack after taking testosterone treatments for just three months. For men under age 65 with a history of heart disease, the risk of heart attack also doubles.

Erectile dysfunction drugs, which are also marketed as methods of increasing male sexual performance, are much less likely than testosterone therapy products to increase the risk of heart attacks in men under age 65 with a history of heart disease.

These risks have led to a U.S. Food and Drug Administration investigation into the link between “Low T” treatments and cardiovascular problems.
