Although the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Risperdal® to treat specific psychiatric conditions in children in 2006 and 2007, Bloomberg uncovered that Risperdal® manufacturer Johnson & Johnson marketed the drug to doctors before it was approved for pediatric use.
