Bio

Todd Harvey strives to be a dedicated, courageous advocate and representative for his clients. Born in Warm Springs, Ga., on October 7, 1968, and raised in rural Upson County, he came to Alabama after acceptance to Samford University as a member of Samford’s nationally ranked and recognized debate team. He graduated from Samford in 1990 with a double major in International Relations and International Business. Todd received his Juris Doctor degree in 1994 from The Cumberland School of Law at Samford University and has been licensed in Alabama since 1994 and his native state of Georgia since 1995.

Todd began his law practice in Alabama with a labor and employment firm that ultimately expanded to include active practices representing clients all over the U.S. in diverse areas such as health care law, antitrust law, wage and hour law, serious personal injury, nursing home abuse and neglect, pharmaceutical products and medical device litigation and consumer protection and consumer class action litigation. This diverse range of practice gave Todd the experience and background needed to represent clients in numerous legal fields and to become an effective advocate and litigator. More importantly, this experience taught lessons about the importance of providing representation to and seeking justice for underrepresented and underprivileged individuals, workers, consumers and small businesses who need strong representation and need their voices heard.

In 2007, Todd and his long time friend Peter Burke formed Burke Harvey, LLC, a firm committed to providing sound legal advice and strong representation to its clients. Since starting Burke Harvey, Todd has engaged in a national practice representing clients in a wide range of litigation including nursing home abuse and neglect, medical malpractice, pharmaceutical products and medical device cases, small business litigation and disputes and consumer protection and consumer class cases. Todd has been active in numerous national multi-district litigation proceedings, including In re Pilgrim’s Pride Fair Labor Standards Act Litigation in Arkansas, In re Yasmin/Yaz (Drospirenone) Marketing and Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation in Illinois, In re Gadolinium Contrast Dyes Products Liability Litigation in Ohio, In re Pradaxa Products Liability Litigation in Illinois and In Re C.R. Bard, Inc. Pelvic Repair System Products Liability Litigation in West Virginia, to name just a few.

Todd is an active member of the state bars of Alabama and Georgia and the Birmingham Bar Association. He is an active member of several trial lawyer associations, including the American Association for Justice, The National Trial Lawyers Association, the Alabama Association for Justice, and the Georgia Association for Justice. He has received recognition for his work as an advocate and representative seeking justice on behalf of his clients by being selected as a Super Lawyer by his peers as having outstanding litigation skills as well as having been selected as one of the National Trial Lawyers Association’s Top 100 Litigators.

Todd is married to Ann Marie Harris Harvey and they stay busy with their two daughters, Susannah and Sarah Page. They attend Vestavia Hills Baptist Church. When not practicing law or spending time with his family, Todd enjoys running, watching baseball and reading, researching, and writing about history, something he has been passionate about since he was a child.
